Ninth Long Range Interceptor with SHOXS Seating Delivered to USCG

In a strategic partnership between NY-based MetalCraft Marine, and FL-based Brunswick Commercial and Government Products (BCGP), the US Coast Guard received the ninth Long Range Interceptor (LRI II) for their National Security Cutter program. The LRI II, an 11-meter high speed aluminum launch vessel, can travel 236 nautical miles from the 'mother ship' to perform tactical missions such as boarding, threat detection and suppression, and patrol. The cabin can be operated open or closed, depending on the weather and sea state. The boats operate at sea in extreme conditions and the LRI II can be recovered at sea state 5 at up to 12 knots.

When traveling at speeds up to 35 knots in nearly any sea condition, shock-mitigating seating is crucial for the crew's safety. The helm is equipped with three SHOXS 4800 across the operator station, with pistol grips, armrests, lapbelts, cupholders, and chart pockets. The seats have 8" of fore and aft travel for precise adjustments based on operator comfort. The cabin interior and aft deck have SHOXS 5000 series jockey seating for high density passenger and crew seating.
